Happy 55th Birthday Stephanie Mills…The Original Dorothy From ‘The Wiz’

Stephanie Dorthea Mills born March 22, 1957

Stephanie Mills started her career on the stage of the legendary Apollo Theater and then became a household name when she stared as Dorothy in the Broadway play ‘The Wiz’. Although Diana Ross did a wonderful job in the movie ‘The Wiz’, I love the strength and soul in Stephanie’s voice and believe she should would have done a marvelous job in the role as well. She is one of the most underrated singers I know and  you just can’t deny her talent.

The Grammy & American Music Awards winner is still singing and will be performing at the Essence Music Festival this year. She has a new album titled “Breathless” coming soon and fans can keep up with her on her Facebook &Twitter.
