Cavaliers Face Game 2 Without Garland, Mobley, and Hunter

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without key players Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and De’Andre Hunter for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Indiana Pacers.

All three are listed as out due to injuries sustained during or prior to Game 1.

Garland, Mobley, and Hunter Sidelined

Darius Garland is dealing with a sprained toe that has kept him out of multiple playoff games. Evan Mobley suffered an ankle injury during Game 1, while De’Andre Hunter dislocated his thumb in the same game. Head Coach Kenny Atkinson expressed concern over the physicality that led to these injuries, though he acknowledged that the plays may not have violated any rules. All three players are officially listed as out for Game 2.

Cavaliers Adjusting Lineup

With these absences, the Cavaliers will rely on their bench to fill the gaps. Players like Dean Wade, Isaac Okoro, and Javonte Green are expected to take on larger roles. Donovan Mitchell will lead the team, but the coaching staff aims to distribute responsibilities to avoid overburdening any single player.

Game 2 Details

Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. The Cavaliers aim to even the series, but the absence of key players presents a significant challenge.
